π₯ Air Fryer Baked Potato
Crispy on the outside, fluffy and tender on the inside! This is one of the easiest ways to make a perfectly baked potato without turning on the oven.
Ingredients
- 2 large russet potatoes
- 1β2 teaspoons olive oil
- Β½ teaspoon salt
- ΒΌ teaspoon black pepper, optional
- Butter, for serving
- Your favorite toppings, optional
Instructions
- Wash the potatoes thoroughly and scrub the skins clean. Pat completely dry.
- Pierce each potato several times with a fork. This allows steam to escape while cooking.
- Season: Rub the potatoes all over with olive oil, then sprinkle generously with salt. Add black pepper if desired.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400Β°F (200Β°C) for about 3 minutes.
- Air fry: Place the potatoes directly in the air fryer basket. Cook at 400Β°F (200Β°C) for 35β45 minutes, depending on their size.
- Check for doneness: Insert a fork or knife into the center. It should slide in easily and the inside should feel completely soft.
- Finish: Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 2β3 minutes. Slice open, gently fluff the inside with a fork, and add butter.
- Add toppings: Serve with sour cream, shredded cheese, green onions, bacon, chives, or any toppings you love. π§π§π₯
π₯ Quick Tip
For extra-crispy skin, make sure the potatoes are completely dry before adding the oil and salt, and don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket.
