πŸ₯” Air Fryer Baked Potato

Crispy on the outside, fluffy and tender on the inside! This is one of the easiest ways to make a perfectly baked potato without turning on the oven.

Ingredients

  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • 1–2 teaspoons olive oil
  • Β½ teaspoon salt
  • ΒΌ teaspoon black pepper, optional
  • Butter, for serving
  • Your favorite toppings, optional

Instructions

  1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly and scrub the skins clean. Pat completely dry.
  2. Pierce each potato several times with a fork. This allows steam to escape while cooking.
  3. Season: Rub the potatoes all over with olive oil, then sprinkle generously with salt. Add black pepper if desired.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 400Β°F (200Β°C) for about 3 minutes.
  5. Air fry: Place the potatoes directly in the air fryer basket. Cook at 400Β°F (200Β°C) for 35–45 minutes, depending on their size.
  6. Check for doneness: Insert a fork or knife into the center. It should slide in easily and the inside should feel completely soft.
  7. Finish: Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 2–3 minutes. Slice open, gently fluff the inside with a fork, and add butter.
  8. Add toppings: Serve with sour cream, shredded cheese, green onions, bacon, chives, or any toppings you love. πŸ§ˆπŸ§€πŸ₯“

For extra-crispy skin, make sure the potatoes are completely dry before adding the oil and salt, and don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket.
