π Frosted Grape Lemonade Cubes
This is a simple, refreshing frozen treat that combines sweet and tart flavors.
Ingredients
-
Welch’s 100% Grape Juice (Concord Grape)
-
Country Time Grape Lemonade Drink Mix
-
Granulated Sugar (Great Value brand shown)
-
Fresh Lemon (for garnish and extra tartness)
Equipment Needed
-
Square ice cube tray
-
Paper towels
-
Large Ziploc bag
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Freeze the Base Pour the Welch’s Grape Juice into a square ice cube tray and place it in the freezer until completely solid.
2. Prep the Cubes Once fully frozen, pop the grape juice cubes out of the tray. Place them between two paper towels and gently pat them to remove any excess surface moisture or condensation. This ensures the sugar coating sticks properly without dissolving into a syrup.
3. Create the Sour-Sweet Coating In a large Ziploc bag, mix equal parts of the Granulated Sugar and the Country Time Grape Lemonade powder. (Optional: You can squeeze a tiny bit of fresh lemon juice over the cubes right before the next step if you want them extra sour.)
4. Shake and Coat Drop the frozen grape cubes into the Ziploc bag with the sugar mixture. Seal the bag tightly, leaving a little air inside, and shake vigorously until every cube is evenly coated in the sweet and tart powder.
5. Serve Immediately Transfer the frosted cubes to a serving dish (like the crystal bowl shown in the image) and serve immediately as a frozen snack, or use them as flavor-packed ice cubes in a glass of lemon-lime soda or water!
