  • Total time: 45 minutes

  • Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (roughly equal size)

  • 8–12 strips bacon (regular cut wraps tighter than thick cut)

  • 3 tbsp honey

  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and place an oven-safe wire cooling rack on top, lightly coating it with non-stick spray.

  2. Season: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Rub all sides evenly with paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Mix Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, Dijon mustard, olive oil, and minced garlic. Set aside 2 tablespoons of this mixture in a clean ramekin for the final glaze.

  4. Wrap: Brush the seasoned chicken generously with the remaining glaze. Wrap each breast snugly with 2 to 3 strips of bacon, tucking the ends underneath so they stay secure during baking.

  5. Bake: Arrange the wrapped breasts on the prepared wire rack. Bake for 25–28 minutes until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part reads 160°F (71°C).

  6. Broil & Caramelize: Switch the oven to Broil (High). Brush the reserved clean glaze over the bacon and broil for 2–3 minutes until the bacon edges are crisp, bubbly, and caramelized (internal temperature will carry over to a safe 165°F / 74°C).

  7. Rest and Serve: Rest for 5 minutes to lock in juices, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
